From an idea to a working website

What should your website do?
Start with what you need.

You may need a clearer service introduction, a better way to show your work or a way to update content yourself. The project takes shape around those needs.

01

Organise your content. Find the right words.

You do not need to arrive with finished copy. I start with your customers’ questions, then shape the service descriptions, project stories and explanation of how you work.

  • Content planning and page structure
  • Website copy within the agreed scope
  • Service descriptions and project information
02

Give your brand a recognisable presence.

Colour, images and layout should express your brand and make the site comfortable to read on a phone as well as a computer.

  • Visual direction and page design
  • Words and images that fit your brand
  • Layouts for mobile and desktop
03

Make it easy to start a conversation.

Clear links and enquiry points help visitors find a way to ask about prices or discuss a project after reading about your services.

  • Website development and page connections
  • WhatsApp or other enquiry routes as needed
  • Checks of key pages and interactions before launch
04

Keep your content up to date yourself.

If you want to add projects, change service details or publish articles, a Sanity content management system can support those everyday updates.

  • Content management, such as Sanity, where needed
  • Agreed fields and pages you can update
  • A defined feature scope and handover plan

These services are scoped for each project. Pages, languages, revisions, features and content management will be agreed in the quote.

Working together

From our first conversation
to a website ready to launch.

Kevin handles the project directly. At each stage, I explain what information I need and what you will be reviewing.

Meet Kevin ↗
  1. 01

Understand the needs. Agree on the scope.

We discuss your services, customers, existing materials and what you want to improve. Then we agree on the work, quote and schedule.

  2. 02

Shape the copy. Develop the design.

I organise your materials and write the main copy before bringing it together with images and layout. You check the business details, prices and project information.

  3. 03

    Build, check and hand over.

I develop the website, check the mobile layout and key interactions, then arrange launch and handover within the agreed scope.

Clear expectations from the start

The right scope and price
depend on the work you need.

What affects the quote?

Page count, languages, copy length, design requirements and features all affect the scope. I also look at the materials you already have. The quote sets out the proposed work so you can make an informed decision.

Can we start with rough notes or no copy at all?

Yes. Share your old website, company introduction, project photos or rough notes. I can help organise the content. You will need to confirm business facts, prices and any performance figures.

Does every website include a content management system?

No. It is useful if you want to add articles, change projects or update prices regularly. We will discuss what you need to manage before deciding which features to include.

How do revisions, hosting and ongoing support work?

We clarify revisions, domain arrangements, hosting, renewal costs and post-launch support in the quote. Any later pages or features are discussed and quoted before work begins.

Can you improve just part of my current website?

Share the site and what is not working for you. After reviewing the content, design and technical setup, I can recommend whether targeted changes or a rebuild make more sense.

Can we work together if my business is outside Hong Kong?

Yes, overseas enquiries are welcome. I’m based in Hong Kong. Tell me about your project through WhatsApp, and we can agree on the scope, languages and how to review the work remotely.

Your next chapter

What should your website
help people understand?
